Safetran is a customer focused company, headquartered in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
We excel at manufacturing traffic signal controllers, cabinets,
and auxiliary devices in our 50,000 square foot facility. Our products have a reputation for quality and
time tested reliability in the harsh outdoor environments.
Safetran uses an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system which allows us to respond quickly to a wide
variety of unique customer requirements. This system provides for on-time deliveries as it controls inventory,
scheduling, and automatically monitors the progress
of the production schedule. After orders have been received, accurate delivery schedules are quickly set
and relayed to the customer. Safetran delivers on-time, on-schedule, and our products function to all
specifications both when delivered and for many years thereafter.
CAD/CAM is used extensively in the preparation of all design documentation and during fabrication.
All of our documentation can be transferred to electronic or printed formats.
We utilize the latest CAD/CAM technology in a "Just-in-Time" job shop environment. The fabrication
facility utilizes these CAD/CAM documents to manufacture metal components on site, including enclosures,
controller chassis, racks and plug-in components. We have numerically controlled high-speed-hydraulic
punches, brakes with numerically controlled backstops and large shears. Enclosures are expertly
welded and inspected for quality and appearance in our welding shop.
Safetran has an environmental testing facility that cycles all our outdoor electronic components between
-40°C to +73°C before they are delivered to our customers.
