The Model 332 cabinet system is a versatile, modular design providing for control of up to eight vehicle and four pedestrian phases. An optional configuration provides six additional load switch positions for use as overlaps, seven-wire interconnect outputs or a variety of special function outputs. Ample space is provided for mounting two 170 type controllers for Master/Local applications. The use of standard subassemblies, as defined by CALTRANS, assures interchangeability between manufacturers. All subassemblies are mounted in a removable 19" EIA rack for ease of maintenance and are fully interchangeable with the Model 336, and 336S, 333SD and 332D cabinets. Constructed of heavy 0.125 inch aluminum, the 332 provides a durable, NEMA 3R weatherproof enclosure. An optional lower input termination panel provides a point to terminate input field wires. The panel is located on the left side wall of the cabinet as viewed from the rear door. The 332 cabinet can be supplied with an optional "UL Label".
Description The Model 332L cabinet system is an energy efficient and green friendly version of the standard 332 cabinet. This versatile, modular design provides control of up to eight vehicle and four pedestrian phases. An optional configuration provides six additional load switch positions for use as overlaps, seven-wire interconnect outputs, and a variety of special function outputs. Ample space is provided for mounting two 170 type or 2070 type controllers for master/local application.
This design includes the newest 206L Switched mode power supply replacing the older Ferro-resonant technology. The power supply provides full output regulation across changes in the AC line voltage and output load over the full operating temperature range of -34C to +74C. Power Factor correction is also provided.
The cabinet includes a transient voltage surge suppression unit at the main power entrance to the cabinet. This unit provides “clean” AC power to sensitive devices in the cabinet. A 30A main power disconnect circuit breaker is also included. A terminal facility for convenience and simplification in when adding a Battery Backup System (BBS) or generator connection in this cabinet has been included.
A din-rail mounted thermostat is mounted in the top of the cabinet with an angled bracket for easier access. This new thermostat assembly has better accuracy and termperature control and is shrouded for protection against shock. A new PDA “L” version is incorporated to include a 15A Clean AC circuit breaker, a Solid State relay in replacement for the mercury filled contactor, with a “Health” relay and fault indicator. The Signal and Flasher circuit breakers have been changed to reflect the low power savings to 10A.
Each assembly will also include a pullout computer drawer. The assembly incorporates the removeable 19” EIA rack for ease of mainenance. The cabinet shell is constructed of heavy 0.125 inch aluminum, to provide a durable, NEMA 3R-specified, weatherproof enclosure. The 332 cabinet housing can be supplied with an optional Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL) label.
